Patricia Serrano Chungsathaporn

Patricia Serrano Chungsathaporn (she / her) is a classically-trained screenwriter and content producer with a passion for one-of-kind life experiences and off-the-beaten path adventures.

Hailing from Bangkok, Thailand, she was educated at Emerson College in Boston, MA (BA in TV Production, with minors in Post Colonial Studies & Political Communication) and successfully survived a two-year MFA program in Dramatic Writing at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. At NYU, she also minored in Social Entrepreneurship.

Other than working on her travel blog FreshTraveler.com, she writes narrative films (both features & shorts) and produced a web series she wrote on Petsami.com’s YouTube channel called The Sexual MisAdventures of Tyson the Male Poodle.

Her short film, Slight Insecurities Regarding Vermin, directed by Chris Joslin, was selected to be featured at the 2010 Connecticut Film Festival.

Her short script, Revenge of the Rodent, was a Second Rounder at the Austin Film Festival 2021 and a SemiFinalist at the Hollyshorts Film Festival Screenwriting Competition 2021 and the Big Apple Film Festival Screenwriting Competition.

Her TV Pilot Nine Lives is an Official Selection at the New Hope Film Festival 2021 and a Finalist at the Big Apple Film Festival Screenwriting Competition 2021.

Her feature script No Weddings and a Funeral is a SemiFinalist at the Big Apple Film Festival Screenwriting Competition 2021 as well as the 2021 American Zoetrope Screenplay Competition, judged by Francis Ford Coppola.

In addition to screenwriting, she’s a story consultant, freelance writes, and has worked in TV and radio. She’s also worked with Warner Brothers in Los Angeles producing web content.

Since she started her travel blog, she’s been sponsored by a number of reputable companies, such as: RandMcNally, USA Today, Honda, Travel Channel & Mauiva AirCruise
